I consider myself to be a Colorado native having moved here in 1968. I vividly remember our first house being in the “suburbs” at Yale and I-25, when county line road was actually a county line road dividing Arapahoe county and Douglas county and when they were building a new highway to be called Interstate 225. I went to Cherry Creek High School where I played baseball and then off to the University of Northern Colorado.
Professionally, I spent 15 years in radio sales before getting in to the mortgage business in 2003. I learned about renovation loans from my father who had been doing 203k loans since 1992. We joined together to be the top renovation team for Wells Fargo for the 7 years we spent there. In 2010 we both moved to Prospect Mortgage who, at the time, was the top renovation lender in the country. Dad retired in 2015 and I stayed at Prospect until they sold in January 2017. At that time, I decided that a move to Caliber Home Loans was perfect for me!
Since 2003, I have closed over 400 renovation loans – every scenario that you could imagine from simple remodels to houses that were about to fall over. Purchase loans, refi’s, owner occupied, second homes and plenty of investors have utilized my renovation loan expertise.
